You are attached to the gliders center of gravity- this enables you to move your weight from side to side to create roll or pull or push your self back or forward for pitch.very simple controls but very difficult to master!

the site is the THE LONGMYND in the county of Shropshire in the uk. the ridge is west facing 1500ft above sea level and 700ft top- bottom. as the name suggests it is long- about 4miles! this site is considered one of the best in the country for free flying.thanks for looking.W.

gliders themselves cost from £400 for a second hand one upto £6000 for a new top of the range!
harness's cost from £100 for s/h to £500 for new!

cheers, if you have a really long flight say over 2hrs you can get back/neck/shoulder ache- it really depends on your harness/glider and how easy the conditions are.i fly paragliders as well and the seated position is much more comfortable.
