A recent ear infection caused our DD to have partial and then complete facial palsy. It has been almost 3 weeks now and she is not able to smile or show emotion. She is on antibiotics and we have been told that things will gradually improve. I'm posting these videos as a "progress" of her healing and also because it has encouraged me to see others on this site that have documented their Bell's Palsy and progress. In this video she is "laughing" but as you can see her facial features don't move.

  • tastyjax12: how long did it take before Ruby showed sign of improvement?

  • that's exactly how Ruby got hers. It is very rare in young children but is almost certainly temporary and she has been fully recovered for 2 years now. I am praying for your son also but be hopeful that he will return to normal soon!!

  • How does it go with you daughter? Did she recover from her palsy? My son got facial palsy 4 1/2 week ago from an ear infection, and im praying for improvement soon..

  • i hope she gets some movement back soon..xxxxxxx
