I know its too late, and I just came across your video, but I wanted to tell you that I agree with your protest.
I have a couple of questions, however. If the red-legged frog was going to be put in danger of extinction, was there not a way to use the endangered species act to stop the development?

Over 500 people of Santa Cruz support you guyz. Hey wow, that is about 2/10 of 1% of the population of Santa Cruz. So because the University was being patient with you guys by taking a year to finally make everyone come down, the school is going down in rankings because it is not allowed to expand like a normal campus.
Police brutality? Please... what do you expect the police to do with a mob of crazy irrational people coming at them. They are public safety, and they kept everyone safe.
