  • Thaks very much for posting this. I was trying to explain it to a freind and then found it and he knew exactly what i meant... he was being accused of being sexist and un PC at work (in the NHS) so i said to get anyone to watch this sketch and then see howe bad they think you are ... LOL. Thanks so much again.. I have not laughed so much in months.. great memories. Hve the other sketches with this character been found yet ??

  • I thought I had seen every Harry Enfield sketch up to 1997 and I don't recall any other with this character. A few viewers have claimed others exist but no one has uploaded them yet. Lets hope they are right.

  • Great sketch. have u got any more sketchs with whitebread in?

  • No, sorry - I'm not sure if there are any more sketches with this character.

  • yorkshire? full of proper unfriendly antisocial fucking rude inbred tosseres-fact.

  • Classic Enfield........As my dad used to say "You can tell a yorkshireman......but you can't tell him much".

  • But the 'straight-talking Yorkshiremans caricature is so true! Several years ago when I used to travel on the train to Peterborough, the carriage was full of such pompous, self-righteous individuals returning to Gods own county who insisted on sharing their mobile telephone conversations at the top of their voice with the rest of their uninterested travelling companions.

  • Yep. That's the one that sticks in my mind. I remember watching that and creasing. His catchphrase for every sketch I ever saw was "I say what I like and I like what I bloody well say" - this appeared in every one - and there were 4 or 5 I think

  • I think we oughta...:> I actually recognised Higson's voice before I recognised his face...

  • Cheers mate. Of course it is. Higson pops up all over the shop. He was in a couple of episodes of The Boosh as well. Blimey, we've just done something never achieved in Youtubes history....had an exchange of comments with using the words 'twat, gay, black, jew, cun*, momma, fuck or any other form of hate ! Nice one. Do we win a prize? : )

  • No - it's not - it is a young Charlie Higson ...who co-wrote the fast show (a lot of it anyway ) with another of Harry Enfield's "chums" , Paul whitehouse.

  • Hilarious. Thanks for that, me and a couple of mates still quote from this sketch. Is the guy with the pony tail the same bloke who did 'Garth Merenghis Dark Place?'
