Akifumi Shimoda is japanese and WAS the champ.
(i'm not sure of what Rico Ramos is. He's a black gentleman named "Ramos".)
Shimoda was so easily confused by a few gloves poked at him that he forgot to recollect himself and recover quickly enough, leaving his chin wide open where Ramos suddenly nipped him with a surprise left. Result: "Sugar" Shimoda eats leather and takes a nap. Note: Ramos is a conventional, not a southpaw.
Anyway, quoting Ramos about the belt he'd just won: "i'm glad he came to the U.S. but i have to keep this in the U.S. so you know, he's gotta go back to wherever he came from with a loss." ☺
