Philosopher Slavoj Žižek argues that unless we think about a radical new beginning, the likes of Berlusconi are the political future

"Capitalism is not egotisms, capitalism is matter of envy...
So, dont accept the frame as it is propose to us!!!"

(Stuart Jeffries and Alice Salfield interviewed Slavoj Žižek, guardian.co.uk,Monday 12 July 2010)

  • Strange how no one can just be eccentric. People don't just have tics or mannerisms or idiosyncrasies. We are always asking "does this mean he was an addict? Does this mean he is insane? Autistic? Psychotic?"

    How about, he is Zizek.

  • People are always bashing on marxist Zizek, but I can't find any intelligent writing's by capitalists...? Anybody got any ideas?

  • @RiverKWhite That's exactly why it has been emphasized-manifold that Marxism is not just an "economic system," it is a universal-truth-event. Anybody can write anything on the internet - their is no truth, human reason, or dialectical rigor necessary to write an internet article. Philosophical Marxism is irrefutable, for if it were to be actualized, equality & liberty (two essentials for human individuality) would flourish (or at least for free humans this would be the case).

  • @RiverKWhite You fail to answer my question over and over again. Who is Capitalism's Marx? You say a, "textbook." A textbook is a mixture of a bunch of peoples ideas. Great minds don't write textbooks - they create solutions. Capital needs to solved ... But it won't, because ppl are too egoistic to think about anyone but themselves. It is what it is. The "spurious infinity" continues...

  • @ThaHess Zizek is brilliant when it comes to psychoanalysis, but in the field of economics- there are intellectual giants everywhere. There can be no master book that details an economic system. It is to abstract.; It would be like writing a book about the internet -you can't. It just exists as it does and the users create and define it in using it.

  • @ThaHess Go read a basic economics textbook used in a respected university.

  • @RiverKWhite Well here you go: name the Capitalist rival book of one of the three: Marx's "Das Kapital", Zizek's "The Parallax View", and Lacan's "Ecrits". Don't say Rand, because her novels are uber-repetitive and her philosophy books are not worth mentioning...

  • @ThaHess You can't find ANY intelligent writings by capitalists? BULLSHIT!!!!!!! You haven't because you don't want to.....

  • @NDPdEport Nope. And, as much as I read and probe people about capitalism their arguments always either end in hostility (for the latter) or prosaic nothingness (in the case of the former).

  • @ThaHess uh bill orielly duh. haha. has anybody actually given you a good response, im just curious, thanks

  • @Evan2718281828 Oh. :D
