Green laser pointer featured Closeup TV1

Most green lasers are used for genuine reasons such as pointing to stars at night, or pointing at white boards. But like everything there is always one person that ruins it for everyone.

@TJDeadkid Some can, some can't. But the airport has to have the appropriate facilities for the aircraft to use as well, otherwise, no dice. And surprising as it may sound to someone outside aviation, not all aircraft have even basic autopilot, meaning that if the pilots are blinded by a laser, then there is a very high chance of an accident.

@MK9Channel I got mine overseas in mexico, im not sure many but its close to a 5mw. its broken now but it was fun while it lasted. it does in fact reach over 2-3km. its a non-professional one so im not sure on the exact stats.

@DaRkxEcLiiPs3 I doubt 5mw would be able to reach well anyways. I have a 15mw and a 30mw, I love to shine them in the sky, and at a water tower nearly a mile from my house. But if I even see lights or anything that could be a plane I put it in my pocket and wait. I live 15 mins. from our airport.

Some dicks allways have to ruin it for the rest. I just got my 5mw laser recently. They arent hard to bring over. But seriously. I wouldn't go pointing them at planes. I use them to impress my friends lol. The only lasers you really should have are 5mw green. They are very impressing and they arnt as dangerous as a 500mw

Look, yes it's stupid to shine lasers in pilots faces, but it's also stupid to leave aircraft full of people vulnerable to something so stupid as laser light. May I suggest laser protective film for the cockpit windshield? I hate how all these news segements seem to only key in on the stupidity of the offender, and not on the neglegence of aircraft/airline companies.
