Van Homan, IMHO, is one of the most influential bmx riders; he appeared at the perfect time, raising the bar of intensity in street riding, and showing a measure of fearlessness that clearly demonstrates some sort of numinosity.
As the discipline of bmx continues to advance, what Van has accomplished stands as a totem of potential, a silent barrier that marks the levels into what one would cross, be they a salient shredder.
