In this third of four videos: Swimming 101, Robb Beams of AEM, Inc. discusses the third domino of swimming: how to create the proper body position for breathing. After watching this video, you will understand the relationship between your body position in the water and your ability to breathe for maximum oxygen uptake. Very helpful. I just took swim lessons this summer. I took semi-private with only 10 lessons. I had a major fear of the water. I can say I am mostly over that and can swim a little back stroke. The free style I am have major trouble. I am doing everything you described. I alwasy feel I am desperately fighting for air. I have not done in laps yet due to this probelm. Thanks for your vid I really understand now what I am doing wrong. I can't wait to try this and the drills.

Hey Robb. I'm having severe troubles with my right meniscus, so I was told I should go swimming instead of jogging (which I used to do). Like most people, I can swim. But like most people, I also never learnt how to do it properly. These videos are a great help in improving my technique and becoming more efficient. Thank you for your efforts -- they are appreciated!
