From Casper to Jeffrey City with an overnight stop in Alcova, camping at Grey Reef Reservoir. There is a water stop at Independence Rock. Camping at Jeffrey City at the Lions Club Pavilion or the Monk King Bird Pottery

I travel on the Adventure Cycling Association's Trans American route... aka the TransAm

I found the campground on a website called

  • Dave, I have a quick question, How do you keep your bike and trailer and other stuff safe when in a store, library, or eating place? Do you take it with you, lock it up etc? I am needing advice on how to keep my bike and belongings safe when entering places also. Thanks again Lamar Sherrill

  • @lamarsherrill I use a 6ft cable with swaged loop ends and a long shank key lock. I can lock both bike tires, the bike, the trailer and the trailer wheel with this lock. I generally never leave my bike unlock anywhere, but occasionally I'll go into a store without locking it but only in small towns. I used to really worry about it, but I figure if my bike ever got stolen...I'd just make my way to the nearest bus station and go home. I ALWAYS lock my bike within 4 feet of my tent at night

  • Hi TWJ..... i enjoyed watching Part 3 of Wyoming and now i am looking forward to seeing Wyoming Part 4... Wyoming is beautiful country land !!

You mentioned that you are considering having a bike custom built. Well...i am in the process of fixing up a classic moutain bike i have from the early 1990s....My bicycle is green Specialized 21 spd. mountain bike....In fact, i will do a short video response to you very soon...

Have a great day and safe travels always

  • @distantcyclist awesome...they made'm good back then. I want a bicycle with a sloping top tube, but none of the companys that make touring bikes (except maybe Rocky Mountain Sherpa's) have that. When I get home, I'll go up to Seattle and stop in the Rodriguez Bicycle Shop... they make beautiful custom made bikes

  • Yet another excellent video!

  • @MrPoppabear255 thank you very much... I'm sitting in library right now working on the next one.

All of your vids are fantastic !

i posted a video response to you, so i am hoping you check it out?

This is in regard to my classic mountain bike.. Thank you :)

  • @knockoutgout Canon Beach is soooo nice... thanks for the comments !

  • Good to see you're making progress. :-)

  • Thanks so much for the advice, we have learned so much from watching your videos. I have ordered a BOB and fitted our helmets with visors we bought from Walmart. Used heavy duty velcro since the visors have a sweat band material that sticks to the hooks on the velcro. Worked out great and we need it here in Jupiter Florida. We do plan to start slow as you advised. We try to ride every other day at this point till it cools down a little. Thanks again and looking forward to all your future videos.

  • You are soo funny! Good on ya! Drive safe and keep them coming!
