And deer vehicle accidents are on the rise.http://www.automotive.com/auto-news/02/38898/index.html

Indiana Deer Outlook -- Part 1: Our Top Harvest (KILLING) Counties

- I always read about "providing" deer herd for recreational hunters from state Wildlife Agencies website I have visited. Could that be the reason that many heavily hunted states has the highest DVA's?

Deer Management is really about "management" deer population for hunters recreational purpose. Just as DNR in PA has stated this as well

"We strive to maintain a deer herd that each year that can provide quality sport to more than a million hunters."

The most heavily hunted states has the highest deer vehicle accidents

1. Pennsylvania

2. Michigan

Hunting Increases Deer - Car Collisions
According to the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration, most car/deer collisions happen during hunting season. Pennsylvania's second largest insurance company (the nation's 12th largest insurer) - Erie Insurance - collected data in 1997 which showed: * 50 % of all deer-car collision claims occurs during October, November and December -primarily due to hunting. Hunters will claim that this is mating season but it's not. Deer mate in October - a time when the deer-car collision rate was 1600. The vast majority of deer-car collision claims - i.e. 4524 claims - occurred in November to December during hunting season not mating season. * The counties with the highest number of deer-car collisions were among the most heavily hunted counties based on statistics from Erie Insurance and the Pennsylvania Game Commission. * Pennsylvania Deer-car collisions averaged 34 deer claims per day for the year. But on the first day of buck season the average was 157 and on the first day of doe season it was 160 - a five-fold increase! * Hunting of deer predators Habitat modification including clear-cutting to enhance "edge" habitat and planting vegetation for deer.

"Hunters scare deer out of the woods through a common practice known as "driving" the deer. One group of hunters will walk through the woods, driving the deer towards another hunter or group of hunters on the other side, who are waiting to ambush and kill the deer. Of course, this means the deer are running to escape the hunters, which causes many of them to run onto roads."

Deer Birth Control - IT WORKS

How we can promote deer birth control

http://www.wildlifeprotection.net/deer/whatyoucando.html

Why mass killing produces more deer (good for the hunting communities and org. )

When a certain number of a species has been removed by predation, the remaining animals will replace them next time around. When predation is particularly heavy, as in deer hunting, they will even overadapt and produce surplus offspring as insurance.

Why there are too many deer

  • Adam posts his videos but do not debate which is what we should do. I also left 2 more video response yet he has not posted and he is letting vulgarity spam his videos again and having mine put on "spam" so no one can read them.

Its proves that I am right and they are wrong and are afraid they will never win with me..

  • Oh there you are Adam lol!! Please go to his video (rdnk4evr) for comments.

  • Tell you what, D.C. From now on promise to post only what you can prove to be truth and fact, and you won't have to block me to keep me from commenting. Now remember, if its the truth, you can prove it, not just based on something someone has said. Remember?? opinion??

  • If you were "blocked" I would not be reading your garbage would I?

All facts are provided from hunting website where I do a lot of reading so nothing "propaganda" here as you all like to call it.

  • I never claimed anything you said was propaganda. Are you feeling defensive? I said what you have posted is opinion. Thats speculation from someone, with no proof. Its what they believe would happen or be the result. They believe, but really they don't know. Thats why its called opinion. And so far, thats all you've given me, either your opinion, or the opinion of someone else. No facts. None. But, lots of speculation. I am of the opinion I deserve to win the lottery.

  • Your comment (downed) are not welcome here anymore because you are prejudiced AHole!

  • rdnck4evr1 does not have fair debate and cannot give valid answer so instead he has his friend spamming insults, racist remark and name calling so his video response will be deleted by tonight.

  • Check the link to their website.

  • "like most of the hunters do." Again D.C. I think you are having a bad experience with numbers, percentages, and maybe even the truth.

If I were you, I wouldn't hold my breath until someone from the DNR says they think birth control is a good idea. I think they look at numbers too.

And the "producing" BS, I think that was a comment made by you, not a hunter or anyone else. So, if its BS------.

  • so on behalf of our public and our wildlife I shall continue to expose the lies of the hunting community and about the sadistic nature of the wildlife serial killers.
