There's no possible way of understanding it, except they are totally dumb, brain washed... mere puppets. That's all.

That was more prove that the Bible is a mind control tool. It is not true and it was never true. It is not love, it is fear. There is nothing moral about the bible it approves of rape, slavery, genocide, human scariface and it states that gaining knowledge is a sin. It took ideas from other religions and mythologies that came before it and claim that it is the truth.

@j919or I'm sorry, but I think you misunderstood me. I never said that the Bible rules over the Holy Spirit in authority and guidance. The Bible and the Holy Spirit are compatible, not in contradiction to each other. What I meant is that if this person is living a certain way/having certain beliefs because the Bible instructs us to do that then they are not doing anything wrong. They don't need any other authority apart from God on how to live their life. God bless.

People believe what they want to believe but no one wants to completely entrust their lives to Jesus bc the life that He lived he also wants to live in them. People are scared of that intrusion. But he is the creator and he knows best and ive found that to be true after fighting with God for years. Im glad he eventually won the battle.

@JesusIsLordForever "" Bible is all the authority she needs""
1. the bible is not the final authority, but rather the Holy Spirit using the bible as a tool of instruction is the final authority.
2. if someone thinks that just bc the bible allows it, that its ok they are so wrong. The Lords will guides and the Holy Spirit guides believers into His will and that will varies to some degree in each situation.

It sounds as though you and I have alot in common. I am a Catholic and take lessons from John paul the second it was always said, he was calm, clear neither right wing nor left, he was also an optimist I hope you will continue with the internal study of humanity and the dignity that comes with growing wisdom on your own.

@royskopp2 That's not true about me actually. I don't refuse to be open-minded. I simply choose to believe in God. I didn't used to be a Christian. I was once agnostic. Been there, done that. I believe that I chose the correct path. Sorry that you don't see it that way. I understand what you are trying to say and I respect you, but I don't agree with you. Every man can choose for himself. God bless you.

It can be explained in this way: The Bible is all the authority she needs. It's not about not thinking, it's about doing what God commands and everything He commands is for good reason.

You not quoting the verse she was talking about makes this pointless. You said people read the bible without thinking...well kinda like your video.

yeah, very confusing. my very christian grandparents sent my father (at age 12) to military academy b'c he wrote a girl a love poem. for that "crime" he was also whipped by the pastor. then, he was legally disowned by them b'c he married a non-christian. he was in love, but divorced her due to his crazy family. then he met my mom, mary, a christian, lived miserably, died at age 46.
i, too, question how anyone could shut someone down so much "in the name of god". ita, your friend got lucky.
