One of the biggest magnet for LHC experiment was transported to CERN(FRENCH SIDE) from CERN Swiss side.I made a small video from my office . Its amazing .....

  • The thing is probably and electromagnet. Until a current is applied to it, its just another big chunk of metal.

    You could still see the signs for Exotech and somewhere it should say Corus and Nikhef.

    One of the biggest things that was build with a bunch of big industry partners and Nikhef.

  • Very cool seeing this. Whenever I have been at CERN I have never seen any of the big moves. Last time I was there was when they lowered the 2nd ATLAS Endcap toroid in July, is this that toroid?
