KOF XX preview: Cool Choi, Smart Chang

This is the first of several videos showing off the characters for my KOF XX project. KOF XX is a new fighting game I am making for the UFGE engine. It will feature SNK characters and characters from other video games in SNK style. The current project and all updates can be found at http://maximoff.alreadyread.net/kowtf . This game is a half tribute, half parody of the KOF series and 1990's arcade fighting game era. Although, I originally intended to make 2 man tag teams (which is why the tag previews are showing the characters off as tag teams), I decided to just stick to making it a one on one fighter.

Cool Choi and Smart Chang appeared in KOF 2000 as "Maniac Strikers". Their appearence were of Choi and Chang as normal looking fighters. As with Fio, the sprites for are from the mugen characters made from the striker sprites by Misamu K Young and Mr S from http://mugenchina.mgbr.net/ , used with permission. Their moves more or less reflect their arcade versions with minimal changes.

Original Chang was the muscle for them breaking out of prison. Choi was the wingman, doing the covert sneaking past guard towers, picking cell door locks etc work.

Thumbs up if Smart Chang and Cool Choi should be added as fully playable character in the new KOF series as DLC's as well as the original Chang and Choi.

He stands straight up and digs for gold in his nostril then, when you go to hit him, there is a momentary pause and he leans forward hard and sneezes you away which actuallydoes damage and knocks you down rather than just a normal hit that would just simply stun or otherwise. I'm forreal with this, no lie lol.

Lol, its kinda funny. One of regular chang (Apart of team Korea along with Kim Kapwan and Choi) had a counter movie in which he would pick his nose and when you attack him, he would sneeze at you and knock you back lol. I forget which KOF's it was in.

I prefer Smart Chang and Cool Choi though.

Regular Chang wasn't totally dimwitted and the tiny "midget" choi was cool in his own way too.

Exacty, Smart Chang seems to be modeled after Yashiro's original model sprite. Especially in the collar, upper-body region to me.
