Just a tip: floaters are pieces of poo. Floats are what airplanes have to make them water-capable. ;)

"A lot of drag" is quite a understatment. Humongous drag is more like it. It felt really stupid to land and not being able to get up again. The new version solved that problem, but they look like something for the early 20th century. 10 cm wide each, much better angle of attack at the start and a lot of potential for waterous disaster.
I made about 10 descent start and landings with JoToRac:s plane with those floats that I made in about 30 min. A lot of fun from so little building time.

Yes it is or rather was, we have redone them as they would create to much drag for the plane to lift out of the water. New ones works great, expect an video of them in the near future.
