btw...this was just an observation from an old toot that has LOVED Drag for nearly 40 years and had seen almost every show that was available to see along lifes way and totally appreciate the ART and effort that goes into such magical, wonderful, theatrical events. There is so much amazing talent. I appreciate you all!

Looks like a fun place. Is this club in Detroit?

I know I am probably the only one that thinks so.....but I just hate what "Disco" did to drag. NOT THIS SHOW (of course, I wasn't there!) but in so many of the shows I saw in that era...it took the "show" out of Drag Show. Many of the "performances" I watched were where basically they got on stage and we watched them dance to the song not unlike they would be doing on a dance floor. There were a few "performance/show" songs but it definetly changed everything about drag shows as we knew them.

That's because a lot of queens just want to be seen and the music has nothing to do with it. I am very anal about lip synching (of course, I dropped a few on that Enough is Enough...haha), but our girls, all of them at Monkey Biz - we like to be in that crowd (not just for tips, but because the people love it when we do it). You could blame it on the music, but it is the entertainer's choice to pick their numbers; so they should have chosen showy songs - there were plenty-Thanks again! :))))
