  • I keep getting told by Doctors, do Yoga BUT never do forward bends, so no downward facing dog. What's your opinion on that? Cause I can see you do it.

  • @ZecaBaby I've taught prenatal now for 6 years & always include downward dog in my courses. An excellent hormonal balancer - one of the only inversions that is safe for pregnancy. If you held it for upwards of five minutes, it could be detrimental to the fetus taking the flow of blood to the head rather than the belly. But it won't squash baby like some forward bends. Not after 35 weeks, as it can shift baby out of position. Always refer to your doctor if you are unsure. Namaste.
