I am: An LGBT Poem

A poem I found online that has to do with the LGBT population.

Homophobia is just wrong! What are you doing to end it?

I tweaked the peom a little to make it work.

One of the lines is supposed to say we are the couple who had the realtor hang up on us when she found out we wanted to rent a one bedroom apartment for two males. I forgot rent in the sentence. sry

"I am the mother who is not allowed to even visit the children I birthed, nursed, and raised. The court says I'm an unfit mother because I live with another woman." I found this the worst line of them all. :(

Wether anyone believes being gay is right or wrong, hating somone beause of somone being gay/bi IS wrong, its judging and unright/unjust.

@alexrousseau815 i divorced an abusive man in miss. the judge said he didnt condone my lifestyle but saw what i lived threw and didnt blame me>>>>I GOT MY KIDS...and me and my partner have raised them(BOYS) to young adults and btw for every one else (YES THEY R STRIGHT) it gets better alex, being lez does NOT make you unfit.

the part about the mother not being allowed to see her children because she lives with another women is wrong who cares who u live with as long as u love ur kids u should be allowed to see them thats just wrong

@SillyNerdify I Don't repent of what I do in the past, Its the correct thing to do, and in time as you see those acts in perspective you know that you do as much as you could.

Now its time to move on and do new things.

I'm going to continue, because I believe in what Im doing, people could understand things at first , but, slowly one mind a t a time they change.

At first one generation laughs about this things changes, next the heatrd come, but it will pass, and then next generations finally accept things as they are " Normal, everyday life things that's all.

@SarahOwnsGeorge When did I judge? When did I say anything detrimental to their self confidence or self worth? What is false or innacurate about my notion? Sure, it's absurd. But the point is this: we need to draw the line SOMEWHERE. Not keep pushing it back under the guise that you are simply being "open", or that anyone who disagrees with you is ignorant.
