A video montage of a serious discussion of William F. Buckley. A history lesson, a couple heartfelt stories from his friends, several of his quotes and a few newspaper clippings commemorating his passing.
Professor Gleaves Whitney is a disciple of William F. Buckley. Gleaves is, a writer, lecturer, and historian; a man who was named the first permanent Senior Fellow of the Russell Kirk Center for Cultural Renewal and the Director of the Hauenstein Center for Presidential Studies at GVSU. Professor Whitney has delivered his presentation, "The Decline and Renewal of American Conservatism" to New Centurion Programs in Lansing and Grand Rapids. He shared this magnificent presentation with the Metro Detroit Centurions on the night this world lost William F. Buckley. Buckley perhaps more than anyone, unified post war conservatives who produced conservativism's glory days. For the timing of this night, a more fitting lecture could not be found.

Its sad to see such a legend pass, but a fitting tribute none-the-less. I can only hope the civility he demanded makes a return to the political discourse.
