NOW I COME BACK TO LISTEN AGAIN !!!!!!

@danielspital Almost ALL music involves harmonies. In the case of this song, he's singing the harmonies are created with the instruments, but said complex layered harmonies and harmonic chords don't come through in such a spare arrangement.
-
@TotzthePlaid there are virtually no harmonies in the studio version of this song though. Only on the high pitched bit towards the end
-
@TheNtisyadi Jonas has a naturally beautiful instrument - but I've seen a bunch of their live videos, and he definitely loses control in a LOT of them, leading to inconsistent pitch and tone. However, in my opinion, someone can be a technically bad singer, but still be a great singer - because the imperfections make the music more human, personal, raw, etc. But nobody should assert that he's a technically good singer, because he really isn't.
-
@ TotzthePlaid - thats right, good observation - made me laugh .. but Jonas is rarely off key, ... well, now I take that back, he was just a little off :) - theyre human too
-
Without the harmonies, the some of the singing sounds off-key. It isn't, really, but it's jarring to hear some of the odd melodic bits without a harmony vocal to balance it out.

authentic in-studio and live :)))

I never meant to be the only one to notice that. I love Mew but like Radiohead I prefer them on studio album than live performances.

The words to this song are so incredible and when he sings them, it's even more amazing.
