Typical Midwestern girl. Not enough of them. The US is the most energy independant counrty in the world, in that 60% of the oil it uses comes from the continental mainland and Alaska. I don't believe that there would be a sudden turn off of oil but a gradual slowdown in availability. I think the collapse of the housing market you see mainly in california is due mostly to finacial overload due to vote buying. The cars that we drive today are too big and heavy and use too much gas.
