  • thats a damn sleeper if i ever seen one!!! where'd you get the goods from a grand prix? (engine, trans, drivetrain, turbo, etc....)

  • Thanks! It runs well and has been a blast to drive! None of the parts came from a Grand Prix. The engine is original to a 86 Century, it did not originally have a turbo. The turbo was ordered from Turbonetics. The transmission was bought from a junkyard from a Riviera. I built and fabricated all the pipework, brackets, and fittings to make it all work together; and wired in a GMC Cyclone ECM, then programmed the ECM for the 3.8.

  • I have an 88 century 2.8L with a smaller ,Mitsubishi turbo on 10-12psi. I have the stock ECM with no tuning only MAP and MAF off a stock LT1 Camaro and 65psi fuel pressure. What could I do for tunning to inprove fuel efficiency and performance.

  • There's a whole lot you can do! Check your PM's I just sent you a message.

  • you got a shift kit on there? it sounds like it shifts nice and firm probly makes the trans live longer with the high power level

  • Yes. It also has a program in the transmission ECU, which helps it to shift quicker under high power.

The engine and transmission have separate ECU's The transmissionis a 4T65EHD.

  • that's just like turboing a 231 RWD in a GN, U did the same thing........that 3800 still has the bore and stroke as the 231 thus handling the same torque.

  • wow!! i love buick!! man
