This is my first artwork video. Wanted to show how I achieved the final product. I've been growing so much in my art, thanks to Mystele http://www.youtube.com/user/littleglimpses If ya ever get the chance to take a class of hers PLEASE don't pass it up! She's an AWESOME Teacher!
I've always found images in things such as clouds, tiles, even my scribbles on a paper. Now I apply it to me artwork thanks to Mystele.

  • What a nifty idea! I love the way it turned out. I know this video is old, but I wanted to comment anyway. :)

  • I love this! I just started hearing about pulled art, haven't had a chance to try it yet, but hopefully soon! Oh and love the prostate cancer article in the background lol =P

  • love it!

  • I only just saw this and i love it. Its so good, well done you. Love what you did with the background and like someone before said, interesting that the girl can see the woman's face but not us. Beverley

  • intuative art is so much fun! Every once in a while I do something along these lines... making abstract colour blobs, and then discovering images within, like loking at clouds.

Thanks for sharing your process with us! The dancing couple is so sweet (^_^)

  • BEAUTIFUL Poe!! Looks AWESOME!

  • wonderful!! love the variety of colours! i was in an art shop 2 days ago and saw black gesso! never used it before, may have to buy some now! :)

  • Trying again: Poe, I'm really glad you're continuing with this technique of finding images - it's definitely your thing :o)

I wanted to know if you planned to cover the bg with gesso and scratch it off or if that was a last minute decision.

I've never seen a bg done like that so thanks for teaching me something new.

And the piece is awesome - you're really growing as an artist <3

  • Great job!!

  • wtf I just left a long comment and it didn't show up
