Hearing Alexander von Schlippenbach play this piece of music brings memories to me of the quiet country side back Home; Schapow & Wittstock in Germany where I grew up and where he may have also visited. For his relatives lived near by in Schoenermark and Ahrendsee.
Wonder if he ever goes back there to enjoy the quietness of the countryside with its forests and lakes and bubbling brooks. Even a thunderstorm feels good there.
