Hi, I was going to buy the 'Sanyo Xacti VPC-CG6' until I discovered this HD2 camera and your review of it.
The main complaint I had for the VPC-CG6 I heard was the only 7 hour battery life, and records to MP4 file which have to be converted.
Would you recommend the HD2 over the VPC-CG6? Is worth the extra money?

ah, very nice, yes I was reading reviews talking about the different quality settings. Well that was all I needed to know, I am definitely buying this as soon as I can, thanks very much

I'm coming from part1, thanks a lot for the review.

Hi, is it possible that a "made in Japan" of this camcorder is better than a "made in Indonesia"? I am living in Singapore by the way.
Thanks, Terence

Yes very good indeed...I'm a VPC-CG65 user.
Thanks so much for the info...question..I have a mac, will be compatible?

Yes - very much so.
Quicktime is the preferred viewer for videos taken by Sanyo cameracorders.

i only wonder if then now since the video file is small what about if i wished to watch my video on my tv for playback? how well would the quality still be when viewed on a much larger screen?

Surprising very good - especially given the camera's size and portability.
Users can set the video capture at different quality levels from High Definition SHQ(1280x720p @ 30fps) to Web-HQ. General Rule: The higher the quality, the larger the file size.
