Sometimes when I see internet douches arguing over songs on you tube, you guessed it, I feel like I've been tied to the whipping post.

I did a report on this song in English class in the 1970's in the 9th grade. The project was about the use of metaphor in poetry, music and story telling or something like that. My report was one of a few chosen to be read out loud after playing Whipping post in class.

Caltch, DrCowinabox: I wanted to make note, reading over your replies to each other, how glad I am that civility persisted. You just don't see that on a lot of the videos on from the newer generation. With so much as disagreeing about the weather, I'd expect an all-out brawl -- thank you both for reminding me what a good fan base is.

Ah! but as far as i know the game doesn't teach improvision ether... Hendrix was a genius... he probably sounded shit out he wanted to learn from the start... it takes people time to develop an ear... Im not even sure what the learning process is for someone that good... you have to start somewhere but that man was a god... I do agree that it is making new people pick up an instrument though (and not a macbook)

Yeah I just think the biggest part of learning to play is getting the practice I've heard Hendrix never had lessons. If the game makes people spend hours with a guitar in their hand and they appreciate music with actual instruments and want to create it that's cool with me.

I am sure people said the same thing about programs that could make dubstep when they came out... "you can make music from computers! don't knock it because thats not how you roll" true enough but an xbox lacks the creative element of a human teacher... call me old fashioned but no me gusta... a computer shows you... a human teaches you... big difference... any way opinions are opinions... have a nice day
