@agentGTO...On most vehicles with a solid rear end there will be a fill plug either on the diff cover itself or on the front side of the housing. If it on the front side it will be either to the left or right of the pinion hump exactly half way up. most diffs gets filled high enough for fluid to spill into the axle tubes.

@ThirdNUnion Yes sir. It is a little harder unless you have a big ass vise or a differential stand (similar to an engine stand), but it can be done.

im sure running it without gear lube is good for it also

this is whats happening to mines right now all becuase of wrong oil in the diff housing, it was like water when its at room temp. i already spent 600 bucks on parts all becuase someone before i purchased the truck putwrong oil in the jug couldnt of cost 20 bucks its costing me 600+ bucks
