Synonymous with lazy days spent in the afternoon sun, Provence is a land of vivid contrasts. From the rugged limestone terrain of the north to the wetlands in the south, it's a place that has always attracted people. Journey through an aromatic wilderness of wild herbs and lavender, and immerse yourself in the sun-drenched landscape.

  • I began watching youtube because of my hatred for ADS. This show has ADS. I can't skip them. You tube is dying.

Please let me just watch the broadcast show about Provence, and not the rubbish that chased me away from the tele.

  • it does not work here :( please

  • Didn't know about that one. Merci!

  • and of course, La Gloire de Mon pere, all by Marcel Pagnol

  • I went in April and somehow, I wasn't able to see these beautiful field. :(

  • Friends, two great films very much set in Provence:

    Jean de Florette

    & its sequel

    Manon of the Spring

  • Isle sur la Sorgue is called the Venice of France. It is a small town of islands in a fresh water mountain stream (la Sorgue river). The air is so fresh it smells like it just rained (Venice is smelly sea water with sewage in it). In the last 15 years people have discovered this beautiful little town and now the farm houses are selling for $Millions I'll post some videos when I'm done editing, unfortunately not as beautiful as this video -shot on film.

  • I've been there a dozen times it's so fantastic. It is sunny as Florida but not humid, the air is fresh and you can smell the herbs and sometimes the bread baking and food cooking. Ther are hundreds of goat cheeses and olive stores with hundreds of different olives and olive oil tastings like wine tastings. Rhone wines are some of the best in France. There are over 300 sq miles of man made lakes that are drained and filled annually to farm raise the edible frogs. THhey eat the whole frog.

  • Excellent~ enlightening~Can't wait to GO :)
