John Howard drought visit Wentworth NSW 20 May 2005

Australian Prime Minister John Howard visits Wentworth on a fact-finding tour on what the drought was all about. He visited Bunnerungie station,70 kilometres north of Wentworth NSW, to gain knowledge of what Drought Assistance was needed.
The Bunnerungie property hosted an afternoon tea and many land owners had the ear of the PM, Mr Howard got a first-hand look at life on the land,he also dropped into the Wentworth school and had a photo opportunity with students. the media scrum was not far behind. some referred to the media pack as a plague of locusts.
