@YNOT100026 Your comment is so interesting! I had no idea! I bought 2 silver coins from them at a pretty reasonable price and I am quite happy with them :) How did John Huebner trick you...? The two coins I got were shipping free and they gave you a book and the American Dream DVD but now since shipping is so expensive, I don't think I'll buy anything else from them... Did you buy silver or gold from them?

I think both rookies and 'experts' enjoyed this video a lot.

Wow! So Roosevelt confiscated Gold to drive down the dollar to stimulate the economy and reduce the spending power of the rich who owned the lions share of the money in 1933. Makes sense to me, it's been quite a bull run since then, now it's time confiscate to redistribute again. I believe in a healthy economy being a majority of people benefitting in an economy not just the few that have figured out how to get ahead of others and increase that gap.

It's probably true. They say that in "troubled times" to buy Gold, Silver, or collectable Art (paintings). It really depends on they type of coins your mother bought.

@deadman12078 WoW!! Try to talk some sense into her!

@YNOT100026 Scammers are always present in any market. You are doing your job in making sure they do not prosper.

Don't confuse the "numismatic" coins that Goldline and other such dealers push with TRUE numismatics. Coins that are legitimately rare or historic have a good history of increasing in value, but most people don't know the market and should not try to invest in it anymore than they should try to day-trade in the stock market or invest in rare art that they don't know much about. So I agree with Peter's advice, but people shouldn't come away with a negative view of numismatics as a result.

@deadman12078 I guess your mother is a moron and
My mother purchased crap loads of worthless "limited edition" coins. Not gold or silver... worthless zinc nickels, quarters. So she basically ended up paying $400 for $100 in change. tried to explain to her... but she has it in her head that if she puts them away in 20 years they will go up in value and she can give it to the grand kids. Eh... who knows what zinc will be worth in 20 years.

I was mislead and lied to and it cost me alot (my bad I trusted Alex's sponsors then found out they own Alex's radio show! No bad reflection on Alex's great work. they took advantage of my ignorance at the time. (My Bad)
