අහසට යොමූ වූ නෙත් වාර්ථා වැඩසටහන 2009 ජාත්‍යන්තර තාරකාවිද්‍යා වසරේ නිල වාර්තා වැඩසටහනයි. ගැලිලියෝ ගැලිලි විසින් තාරකාවිද්‍යාව සඳහා මුලින්ම දුරේක්ෂය භාවිතා කල දින සිට 2009 වසරට, වසර 400ක් සපිරේ. එම සියවස් හතරක කාලය පුරා දුරේක්ෂයේ විකාශය පිළිබඳව මෙම වාර්තා වැඩසටහනින් සාකච්ඡා කරනු ලබයි. මෙම වැඩසටහන 2009 වසර පුරාවට ලොව වටා රටවල් ගණනාවක Eyes on the Skies නමින් රූපවාහිනිය හරහා ඉංග්‍රීසි ඇතුළු ‍තවත් භාෂා 33කින් විකාශය විය.
