Author and historian Howard Zinn talks about the concept of a "Just War". Can there be such a thing as a humanitarian "Just War" or are those things antithetical to one another.

  • Perhaps some of you wouldn't be so callous if you really understood what war means. It means 90% civilian victims. Limbs blown off. Babies decapitated. Mass homelessness. But you soulless people sit there in you unaffected world and talk about anti-Americanism. You've placated real values for a myth. May you never have to experience war you pathetic cowards.

  • I've always found the quote he mentions by Hermann Göring to be very interesting in the context of our modern age:

"...voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country."

It's like he was writing the foreword for "The Idiot's Guide to War Propaganda"

  • Zinn's first book, La Guardia in Congress, won the American Historical Association's Beveridge Prize as the best English-language book on American history in 1959. He was a professor at Boston University for 40 years before the movie you mentioned was released. What is this "break" you mention?

"A People's History" is filled with citations, and is the finest book on American history ever written for the people.

  • That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard.

  • They make the case to go to war because their god and master, that is, the devil requires human blood

The devil needs human blood to get more powerful

And the psychopaths who worship the devil feed themselves spiritually with human suffering

Separate yourselves from these "people" at least spiritually, because they've been judged and they've been condemned

You have not been judged, yet

  • Exactly. It's a case of Spectator Sport Warfare, as Gray puts it. Desensitization of the civilians to death, but sensitization of the military to military deaths, are but a few key reasons why Kosovo and Bosnia used more planes than the previous decade of warfare combined.

  • jwein, an idiot.

  • your da idiot

  • well said!

  • These scientist and historians are just waking up to the truth but their have been a few that have been warning the west of a coming doom

just you tube or Google search THE ILLUMINATI

  • Because only war can make you a man? Your own statement is hypocritical. Justify yourself.
