tryouts are in march. there isnt freshman cheer though, there is jv, varsity purple, then varsity gold. when you tryout you can say which team you want to be on and after you do tryouts and you will be judged you and the coaches will put you on the team they think you should be on.. so you dont really get to pick which team you are on. i started cheer with a standing backhandspring and a roundoff backhandspring and was on jv. i think it was good to start out with jv... its how you meet people!
