  • I know that playing disposition is hell of a challenge, but.. Man, it would be nice to hear those beginning/ending riff notes not being ripped in half, give them some space

  • @arctowski This comment makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. i am playing the whole song slower than the original. i am spacing all notes further apart than they are supposed to be!

  • This video showcases why Justin Chancellor is a genius, and you are a brilliant bass player.

  • im buying a bass whammy this weekend after the tool concert :)

  • Hey man sweet cover! I really appreciate the tone, i know it's not easy replicating any TOOL sound, be it guitar, bass, drums or vocals but man I think your sound is spot on and it's kinda gotta be considering the equipment you got there. Good on you mate, keep it coming!

  • bare with me as i try to explain this—but in the beginning after you play the E and go to the D, are you muting it when you hit the open (higher) D string? or scraping it with your pick? its just an interesting sound that I can't seem to replicate, right in between the two D notes octaves apart...

  • @minusjason Gotta agree on the 'not-letting-the-first-D' ring out part, but while that's true, I think it'd be just a wee bit nitpicky to say that ;-)

  • @TOOLbassplayer It's been a year since the original comment, but I think arctowski was referring to how you sometimes didn't let some of the notes ring out in the intro, like the first low D for example (I'm assuming the song is in drop D, it's been a long time since I played it). I also miss the ringing notes, but otherwise you played it beautifully. I have a red normal Whammy, but I want the bass Whammy just for the 5th/octave setting... :(

  • Not as big a Tool fan as I used to be, but jesus christ you have the most amazing setup ever. That tone is perfect.

  • isent that a shit expensive guitar?

  • Excellent sound!! Keep up the good work man - I really like the pedal that shifts the pitch up - gotta get me one of them~

  • Nike endorsement 1:13
