How to Get Cross Mappin' on Halo Reach

Kudo Shows you how to get the new and illusive Cross Mappin' achievement that has been giving a fair share of people problems. The easiest way I have seen yet that isn't boosting. Make sure you are playing in a SLAYER based Gametype - That means team slayer, big team slayer ect. this should be common sense yet so many people don't even READ the achievement (this was added after the fact if you can't tell). Keep in mind there is no way to get this achievement if you don't actually try. So don't just down vote because you fail. This has worked for more than a handful of people I know and don't. Don't just use this to gauge the distance actually do it this way.

Yeah, I tried to get it on the spire originally. I particularly like this method of getting it, after telling 3 people in the game that I got it they tried it as well and got it from the exact same location. It is most definitely worth giving this method a try.

@sdskudo I originally attempted to do it on invasion slayer, and I killed people at ridiculous distances. Thus, to the best of my knowledge it is either impossible or not viable.

I've gotten DMR kills from longer distances than that, with no luck. Any tips?

Don't forget you have to do it in a Slayer type game, such as Big Team Slayer. Also when you are at the pipe you can hug the back wall to shoot players in the tunnel if you are still having problems getting the achievement. Also grabbing the sniper or beam rifle can help to take shields before the headshot. Happy Holidays!
