The High Kings performed on the Irish speaking National TV channel TG4 during the final of Glor Tire 15 April 2009. They sang their popular sing-a-long Irish Pub, accompanying themselves with accordian, guitar, bodhran and banjo, followed by the beautiful a cappella four part harmony of Galway to Graceland! A perfect selection to showcase their versatility.

  • I love it! Thanks for posting this! btw - are they coming out with a new CD soon?

  • The guys are working on selecting songs for a new album (from about 500 old and new) and will start recording in July for an expected release date around October, although that may change. Keep an eye on Darren's Myspace as he writes regular blogs to update the fans. I run Darren's official Myspace fansite and also keep that updated with blogs with all the news. You can find both in the top row of my Myspace 'Top Friends' the link to the that is my website under my photo on my YouTube profile.

  • This looks like it was in 4x3, but it's being stretched into widescreen. Finbarr looks like he's gained 100 lbs.

  • I'm sure it was recorded 4:3, but unfortunately as I am in the UK it was recorded from the online streaming, they broadcast online 16:9, nothing I could do about that. I'm just glad I was able to watch it and share it , they sound fantastic.

  • Love it!

I do find it hilarious to imagine Sydney with only 4 Irish Pubs. I can think of at least 4 within a 10-mile radius of the city. (The whole of Sydney is about the size of Luxembourg)

  • Very nice

  • @DiceyRileyProduction - I've seen 6 string banjos tuned like a guitar, but never heard them refered to as a Banjitar. I like that. Seems like a person playing a 6 string is sort of cheating though.

  • fureys playin a banjitar?

he was playing that in the point

  • is that the kesh in between it? goes well luv d high kings!!!!

  • could listen to High Kings all day Saw 'em 6 times in concert!!! is that the first part of the Kesh in the middle of it?Sure sounds like it
