A lot of people - not just on this video, but just in general - comment on how different Jon sounds live.

If you've actually been to a Switchfoot show and not just seen vids/clips from YouTube, you'll know that the guys like to run around on stage a bit, jump off things .. work the crowd. They take the energy in the crowd, throw it right back at 'em. When he does get to the mic, he's sometimes out of breath and whatnot.

I don't get what everyone's talking about--he sounds fine to me. He's on key. His tone might be slightly different than in the studio, but he sounds fine.

@michelasnowwhite keep in mind that this was from 2004 i believe, and Jon Foreman actually can sing very well live. don't judge his singing ability based on this one video
