AS Media students were given just 5 lessons to: pitch an idea for a 30-60sec opening sequence; form groups having voted on the favourites; storyboard; shoot; edit; present and semiotically deconstruct. Exposition has to be primarily provided through mise-en-scene + shot selection; only 17 words of dialogue were permitted. A challenging task with tight deadlines, met with an impressive level of organisation and commitment: shot over the weekend, with the only casualty one pair of curtains (now restored to good health I'm assured!) - well done to you all! Another big step on the road to the main coursework production itself...
