Walking on that narrow bridge at Mizen Head to get to the signal station was a major experience for me: it was trying to conquer an irrational childhood fear I thought I had buried, that of bridges over water.
I don't know why I was always afraid of that, and eventually I had no problems with driving over bridges. But _walking_ over one so narrow and over such a high gorge? Brought it all back.
Thankfully my uncle and aunt were with me and I walked between them, and made it through in one piece - though each clang of a foot over metal sent me half-jumping. :)
The way back was far, far less problematic, but these were probably the longest 50 seconds of the entire trip... but fears _can_ be conquered!
aww you did realy good!
