  • 50 Watt Combo. No attenuator. This is just the amp and the guitar.

  • NOS set of GE KT66's. I mean you should buy a set of better made KT66's. It made a big difference.

  • Yeah, my camera doesn't have the best mic. I have finally figured out how to cut down on the distorition by angling the amp away from the camera. But I really do need a better camera.

  • It takes a while to get the hang of this amp, but ones you understand the Detail, and Body knobs you'll get great sounds out of the VM. It's just not set up the same way as other Marshalls. Plus you really need to change the power tubes.

  • On this clip I have the body at about 12:00, and detail at around 3:00 oclock. I also have the Presence at 12:00 or higher.

  • About 10:30 on the volume. Live I crank it higher, over half.

  • i bought it because of you :) ITS FUCKIN AMAZING! x1000 better than on this vid...because of the camera

  • menga111 - Putting it simply, 'presence' is like a treble control for the power amp section of the amplifier.

  • What tubes are you running? Did you not like the Kt66's?

  • loud enough to gig with? :)

  • why not a clean channel on this amp?

  • @fretboarder I don't think the DSL401 has the PPIMV, but I used to have one and it sounded decent at low volumes.

  • @murfdog19 do you know if the dsl401 has one? ive got one and it sounds good at low levels also..

  • @fretboarder The Vintage Modern has a post phase inverter master volume, so it sounds very good at low levels. When I practice at home, I set the Master Volume to 1, and it still sounds awesome.

  • could you please put up a vid showing clean tones? that would be great, thanks

  • shorts again?!?! nice brother!!

  • both great but you need to blow up a house or spend 300 bucks on an attenuator to get a nice fat tone with the jmp.

  • @ruffles272 i thought it would go to a 69' plexi...
