http://www.ted.com As globalization and technological advances bring us hurtling towards a new integrated future, Ian Goldin warns that not all people may benefit equally. But, he says, if we can recognize this danger, we might yet realize the possibility of improved life for everyone.

TEDTalks is a daily video podcast of the best talks and performances from the TED Conference, where the world's leading thinkers and doers give the talk of their lives in 18 minutes. Featured speakers have included Al Gore on climate change, Philippe Starck on design, Jill Bolte Taylor on observing her own stroke, Nicholas Negroponte on One Laptop per Child, Jane Goodall on chimpanzees, Bill Gates on malaria and mosquitoes, Pattie Maes on the "Sixth Sense" wearable tech, and "Lost" producer JJ Abrams on the allure of mystery. TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design, and TEDTalks cover these topics as well as science, business, development and the arts. Closed captions and translated subtitles in a variety of languages are now available on TED.com, at http://www.ted.com/translate. • 2030: Massive disparity in wealth, lifestyle, and physicality. The middle class is gone. The poorest people in the world are closer to slaves than citizens; a cheap new, addictive drug will help keep them working and happy while the rich, non-working class continues to become more god-like in their appearance and manner; they WILL be, essentially, better than all those homely, chronically stupid, drug-addicted slaves.

2030. The age of milk and honey...as long as you own the cow and the hive.

  • This is a lot like watching the plot of The Matrix explained in 30 seconds. So much is left out that it makes you wonder if any of it was really worthwhile.

And, the biggest reaction was over the mice. So, that about sums it up. We're doomed.

  • Global Future - The New World Order.

  • This guy is a tool of the NWO. He is talking of nothing but depressive and negative events which will happen in the future. Fuck this guy, support the Zeitgeist Movement!

  • how are our mobile phones more powerful than the apollo but we can't design an engine that gets more than like 30 miles to the gallon....i fucking despise the controllers and leaders of this world. it's so sad to know what kind of exponentially better world we could be living in, but is kept from us.

  • he also states income has gone up, but he doesn't mention inflation is through the damn roof. we spend 20s like one generation ago spent 5s. illiteracy has gone down, but language has been dumbed down.

  • this guy's facts in the intro are off. for instance, the average lifespan has not really risen near as much as he claims. this figure is cooked, much like how unemployment figures are bs. people have lived into the 70s for a long time (i have no idea how old they lived to in stone age though!), but they take into account infant deaths, which were very high until the last few decades. now that newborns aren't dying so much, the average age has gone up considerably.

  • ian sucks all cocks belonging to the rothschilds! I hope the only climate change that happens is localised 3 feet around where this prick is standing and mother earth opens up and swallows him up then spits him out in pieces for that poor mouse in the video to nibble up ! lying fuck stick!!!

  • "The future as we know is very unpredictable" well that's because you didn't predict the mass awakening that's happening, otherwise the future would be very predictable because you and your elite goons have plans for all of us 'slaves'. fuck off Ian, the game is up! the power is tipping into the peoples hands now, so go on, keep pretending :)

  • this guy ia a puppet for the New World Order

  • “The only fool bigger than the person who knows it all is the person who argues with him” Stanislaw Jerzy Lec

  • REVOLUTION!
