This is Part 1 of the first-ever flash mob at a First Fridays event in Goshen, Indiana! It was staged by Faith Mennonite Church to promote their upcoming production of the musical Godspell, which will be performed June 4 and 5, 2011, at 7 p.m. at the Goshen Theater. The musical will be an effort of the whole congregation, with members serving as actors and musicians and managing behind-the-scenes aspects of the production. During the performances, a freewill offering will be taken for the Goshen Farmers' Market Basket Project. Tickets can be purchased in Goshen at Better World Books (118 E. Washington St.) and Graber Designs (208 S. Main St.) and in Elkhart at the Mennonite Cooperative Bookstore at Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminary (3003 Benham Ave.). Cost: $5 each for general admission. Faith Mennonite Church is a congregation of around 100 participants from diverse life situations. It was founded in 1990 to reach out to people who do not have a church home and to become a loving, nurturing family of God's grace for people in the community. The congregation meets at 5 p.m. Sunday evenings at 1201 S. 11th St. in Goshen. Faith Mennonite is a member congregation of Mennonite Church USA.
