Make your razor last 10x longer

I get tired of throwing away disposable razors. When I'm shaving every day or every other day, they seem to get dull very quickly. Then I read about the technique called "stropping," which is what barbers used to use on straight razors to keep them sharp.

I decided to try the technique using my towel instead of a "strop strap," since it would always be nearby when shaving. I started with a new blade when I moved to Oregon in March, and I'm still using it at the end of August, so what I'm doing must be working.

Now, I also have an electric razor, and I switch back and forth as to which I use more often, so your mileage may vary. And I've switched to conditioner instead of shaving cream. It just seems to work better for me.

If you use disposable razors, you might as well try this tip. It's quick, easy, and much less painful than shaving with a dull razor!

haha im only 18 and i haven't needed to upgrade from my electric razor, which i really dont use often D: but once i need to shave almost everyday ill use this tip! :D and nice ending haha

Thanks Paco I will certainly be doing this. Now all I have to do is to teach my wife to do the same too. Damm, what is it with womens leg hair. That can blunt a blade in seconds.
