  • boy you got a top end problem with the noise i am hearing on the vid. who put this together.

  • @rcmoot

yea I'm glad you noticed it too, it was making that noise here and there. i got it done at a harley mechanic store in alhambra, CA. It's caleed the Eagle's Nest.

I have over a 1000 miles on it, and the noise comes and goes, i've got it checked it out and I figure it could just be the high performance cams..... Performance-wise is still great...,what do you think?

  • Sounds mean.. Hows the power difference

  • @ironface88

You can definitely tell the power difference. It is much more beasty than the 883 in terms of the ride and the feel. What I did not mention was I added Torque Cones as well to the exhaust toward the front of the engine which i believe gave it some extra power.

  • Sounds like the idle is too fast also along with the tapping noise

  • Sounds really strange on the video, I hope it sounds better in person!

  • sound good but you may have a hot weather problem and may want to go to a heavy oil as per your Harley manual 883 should have 60w above 80 degrees

  • whats up flanders..... the top end is normal specially if high performance cams with stock valve springs.

  • oh by the way what rockers you have? just wait till those mirrors draw some blood on someones arm or back or chest . looks cute though..

  • cams don,t make noise if end clearances are set right. your guy has much to be desired if he let it out of the shop with that noise. was the valve to piston clearance clayed. was the beehive springs clearanced. is that adjustable pushrods and are they set with hyd. lifters or solids. sounds like most people out there don,t want to learn about the mechanics of a motor rebuild and just let someone else build it. hopefully they know how to do it right the first time.thanks for reply . i run 10,s
