The Iranian nation is crying a thousand tears every minute of every hour of every day for they made the eyes of Shahanshah cry. And they will continue to cry for generations to come. Our Iran is a lost cause. It is gone, and we - those of us who were blessed to grow up under my Shah - now can only live it in our memories of what it was and what it could have been, and those who are born after the national suicide of their parents can only imagine in their most beautiful dreams of what Iran was under the Shah and what it could have been.

May there be no death upon those who betrayed my Shah and who betrayed my Iran, but to live on, living a thousand deaths every day of their days in this world for the crimes they have committed against not only the Persians but humanity at large.

And may God have mercy on those - and only those - who blindly, naively and innocently without realizing it broke the heart of my Shah, and brought death to Iran and what it could have been.

Agree! But in a democratic Iran there should be tolerance even for the Mullahs, and the Shahies, and even the communists - so long as they all abide by a fair constitution that accepts the fact that all men and women regardless of their religion, sex, political views and beliefs, are equal in the eyes of the laws. Such a constitution should also reflect the cultural and historic values of the nation as a whole. Shah has been a symbolic idea to bind a multi-cultural nations such as Iran together.
