During the commercial, you can bet Dick rubbed his sugar stick all over that new podium upholstery. Probably why he got new upholstery...he wore out the old one.

This was 1988. You think performers were high - you should have seen some of the contestant reactions during "Pyramid"'s previous era in NYC. Check out Bill Cullen's pitchfilm for the syndicated nighttime 70s version, which has clips from Winner's Circle wins on the original CBS/ABC daytime show.
