Shiny in Iron Island, but Why?!

This morning, at around 11:30 AM, I was levelling/EV training a gardevoir in my jpn platinum. I decided to train it at Iron Island since golbats are quite common and gardevoir can take em out in one hit (plus they give 2 Speed EVs) I didn't have my magnet pull magnezone upfront as I didn't get enough Golbats frequently.
I knew that the likelyhood of a shiny was minimal so I was just mindlessly encountering with the volume off...then I looked down and saw it. I did a double take, then I just sighed. Of all the times I've been in this stupid cave with a magnet pull up front hunting steelix/onix, a shiny decides to appear when I don't sigh...

Goddamn, this is my 4th fail shiny hunting onix/steelix. The eternal struggle lives on.... I'm not gonna even bother checking the IVs of that wad either.

And yay for video game music. Props to those who know what games the tunes are from...

@MrEmagicman I would've been pissed if I got a golbat too as I got one a few years back hunting Lunatone in sapphire (at least I eventually found a lunatone unlike onix/steelix :[)

@DarkestSteelix I love megaman X but I can't get past the spider boss during the sigma trials. Too hard for too little skill. My fav music from it is when you learn new moves (ex. boost)

@LordSem4j Heh I can blaze through Megaman X but I can't fucking beat X2 or X3. Kaiser Sigma in X3 is just an absolute pile of hardness. My fav music in X1 is the password screen music lol.

@DarkestSteelix I guess I'm a little young for this lol. I'm really really good at LOZ OoT and MM, even really good at executing the glitches for fast times. The only time I tried X1 was at my friend schuylers house and he got to sigmas dog and then we turned it off x(

@DarkestSteelix I can imagine it would. I think GameFreak did that on purpose so that whenever you see a shiny one you can just see it saying "Am I going to expload in your face? Are you willing to take the chance?" or something like that in it's sprite.
