The video is my work to the poetry/music of John Trudell and I am grateful for all the comments that people have left over the past 10 months. The more people that are touched by the spirit of this video the better. Sharing work is good medicine providing you honour the creator (in both senses).

being white does not mean you are automatically wasichu. Wasichu means 'those that take the fat' and was never directly pointed at colour of skin. It just happened that most of the whites that the Lakota came in contact with in the conquest of the west were greedy and disrespectful.

My skin may be white but my heart is red. I love JT's work. I used to think that the problem with white America was political - but it is spiritual. They have lost their sense of being human. WalkingBear, more people that you realise know what's going on. Great video, by the way! Wee Scottie.

John is a threat to them because he is articulate and intelligent, like our leaders from back in the day. We love John. His voice, his life, he has walked the walk as a human being. He speaks for us. I don't know what "We are the New Indians" means. The only new NDNs are our children, not "New Age" wannabes imagining they are us. People need to be happy in their own skin. Putting feathers on doesn't make you a Tsalagi anymore than doing the moonwalk makes me black.

Leaving bad emotions behind is the european teaching..not just madness. Saving our earth mother and venturing to sojourn with her sisters is the only way. Lending yourself to her predestined process of righteousness and renewable energy each day . I cry blood...no more.

@MaryBeatleFan I can say that Leonard Peltier and others like him are in jail being tortured, people cant live in peace, or enjoy the land anymore without fear or having to be persecuted. I wish I could take back every viscious, hateful thing white people have done to Indigenous Peoples. I do think people should be educated about the truth though, not so the white man can save the Native Peoples, but so that we could live in harmony like Black Elk talked about the

@shecter68 I just wish this never happened in the first place. I dont know what happened to the white man(Im caucasian)? Why on Earth did they come here and terrorize and try to commit genocide/actually have. It makes me sick to my stomach. Greed, control, power is all they want. They dont know how to be human beings. I know there are many people who do care, and want to know the truth about things, and I dont blame them for all thats happened.
