Introduction

Confessions 2 a sequel to the well received "Confessions 1" video, features non-scripted interviews with 3 ex-offenders recounting how a moment of folly had cost them the most precious years of their youth when the law finally caught up with their crime.

The 1st offender, Ali, was arrested for computer related offences and placed on 24 months probation.
The 2nd offender, Joseph, was arrested for his involvement in unlicensed moneylender activities and sentenced to Reformative Training Centre (RTC).
The 3rd offender, David, was arrested for sexual related offences and sentenced to Reformative Training Centre (RTC).

See how these three ex-offenders recount their criminal offending behaviour and its consequences - the punishment as well as its impact on personal and family lives.

Probation
Persons arrested and who are below the age of 21 years may be placed on probation for a period between 6 months to 3 years. While they may continue with most of their day-to-day activities, conditions stipulated by the Court (such as attending offence specific programmes and time restrictions) have to be complied with. He / She is also required to report regularly to the Probation Officer and, where applicable, perform community service.

Reformative Training Centre (RTC)
Instead of a sentence of imprisonment, a person below 21 years old can be sentenced by the court to reformative training for a period not less than 18 months. Though placed behind bars, they are kept away from adult inmates. During Reformative Training, they will go through a structured regime of foot drills, and various rehabilitation programmes targeting young offenders, with a focus on education. Upon release, they will be placed under the supervision of Prisons' reintegration officers to help them address challenges in their reintegration.
