Lock Bypassing: Shim a Padlock, Bump a Deadbolt

In this video I show how to use padlock shims and bump keys. Shims can be bought online or you can make your own from aluminum cans. Do a little internet searching for instructions on how to do that. Bump keys can be made, but it is rather difficult. Your best bet is to do some research online for someone to buy them from. Usually the only modifications to online purchased bump keys is a little filing on the shoulder of the key. Don't use this information for dishonest things. It is for a hobby, or a useful skill if you lock yourself out.

ive gotten 5 combo locks in 2 mins with a home made shim. they do break alot. so im just going to get an online one. how long would you say the ones you bought online last?

Probably about 5 uses at least, depending on how careful you are and if you are unfortunate enough to snag on something and tear one.

hey how often do these shims work on padlocks? I like to get free food from dumpsters but there is often a master padlock on them...

The work really well on most padlocks, if you're going to be using them alot I'd recommend you buy a set online. Pop can shims break fast.

its 10x harder to shim a lock when its on a locker.. trust me ive tried.. broke 7 soda can shims before i just said fuck it lol
